    Speaker: Dr. Maryse Narcisse
    As the 2016 presidential candidate of the Fanmi Lavalas party, is at the forefront of a burgeoning movement for women’s rights and women’s health in Haiti. In addition to her work in the political sphere, Dr. Narcisse has been an active force in Haiti’s medical and public health sectors, having led the medical responses to the Haitian earthquake in 2010, the subsequent cholera epidemic, and Hurricane Matthew. She will be lecturing at UCLA on issues related to grassroots organizing, social justice, and women’s health.
