Intern Opportunities in STD Prevention Program Area

This email is to ask for your help in communicating two new internship opportunities available at the California Family Health Council (CFHC).

We are seeking MPH students to support STD Prevention Program projects, as described below and in the attached Opportunity Announcements.  These are
paid, limited term opportunities:

STD Prevention Program – LGBTQ Health Intern

California Family Health Council (CFHC) is seeking an STD Prevention Program Intern for a project with an emphasis on LGBTQ health. This internship will
provide you with the opportunity to be part of CFHC’s STD Prevention Program while strengthening your research and education skills. The intern will be responsible for
researching LGBTQ cultural competence and best practices for clinical settings and other health programs. Other duties may include developing a toolkit and designing/conducting a process evaluation.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of STDs and sexual / reproductive health, familiarity with LGBTQ health issues, experience with research and program
evaluation, as well as advanced writing & communication skills.

As an STD Prevention Program intern, you will establish and/or develop skills & experience in; Research, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and LGBTQ Health.  Additionally,
you will be able to establish new professional contacts.

 

STD Prevention Program- Evaluation Intern

California Family Health Council (CFHC) is seeking an STD Prevention Program Evaluation Intern.  This internship will provide you with the opportunity
to be part of CFHC’s STD Prevention Program and strengthen your evaluation skills. The intern will be responsible for designing and conducting a qualitative evaluation of sexual and reproductive health efforts conducted at Los Angeles school-based health centers.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of STDs and sexual / reproductive health and experience with qualitative program evaluation (designing survey
tools, conducting focus groups), as well as advanced writing and communication skills. English language required; Spanish beneficial.

As an STD Prevention Program intern, you will establish and/or develop skills & experience in Program Evaluation, as well as Sexual and Reproductive Health.  Additionally,
you will be able to establish new professional contacts.
