Title: HEALTH PROGRAM SPECIALIST I
Salary: $4,930.00 – $6,171.00
This position is with the California Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP), Program Standards Branch, within the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Division.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Program Standards Branch, MCAH Division, the Health Program Specialist (HPS) I is responsible for providing support and expertise to CA PREP, including technical assistance/support to local agencies, program development
and implementation activities, such as research and development of program guidelines, standardized Scope of Work (SOW), and program data collection and analysis processes. The HPS I is responsible for facilitating and participating in the assessment, monitoring
and evaluation of program activities and for providing written and verbal reports to management with recommendations for program improvement. Desirable skills include the ability to take initiative to ensure high quality programming, to work independently
and take lead responsibility for special projects, to function effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment, and to communicate effectively with local agencies, and to organize and facilitate meetings and trainings. The incumbent functions as
a liaison between staff in the local programs and the State MCAH Division and partners in other programs at the Federal, State and local level. This position is located in mid-town Sacramento, east of the State Capitol. If interested, please send an email
