Job Descriptions

 

Training Coordinator (2 positions)

The Training Coordinators are responsible for the coordination, development and design of capacity

building assistance activities of the SYPP Center. The Coordinators are responsible for the development

of capacity building assistance plans for identified clients, curricula development, training and technical

assistance, implementation and analysis of evaluation activities associated with training and technical

assistance, and supporting SYPP Center in program development and community outreach. Training

coordinators will design and implement trainings for diverse audiences, including communities, youth-serving

professionals, and schools. Training topics may include sexual and reproductive health, youth

adult partnerships, substance abuse, trauma informed care and LGBTQ cultural competency. Positions

may also include the supervision of staff, interns and consultants.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, health education, or equivalent

combination of related education and work experience required. Master’s degree public health, social

work or related field preferred. Experience in training curriculum development, training delivery,

program planning, community organizing, and administrative/supervisory experience preferred.

 

Health Communications Coordinator

The Health Communications Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, development and design of

all health communications activities of the SYPP Center. This position will work closely with the

programs in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in the development of health

communications materials, resources and web‐based learning activities targeting professionals,

communities, and youth. This position is also involved in the development and provision of training and

technical assistance related to health communications activities. This position will also be responsible

for marketing, website maintenance, and working with Divisional Evaluation staff to evaluate activities

associated with health communications.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, health education, or equivalent

combination of related education and work experience required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience

in health communication, program planning, community organizing, and administrative/supervisory

experience preferred.
