Protest Dignity Health partnership tomorrow at 9 AM at UCLA Bruin Statue

Dear UCLA Students, Faculty and Alumni,

My name is Amanda and I’m working on an important campaign with the ACLU Foundations of California, where we need YOUR help as student activists.

Can you join us to rally for reproductive and LGBTQ rights on April 9, and share your voice at public comments? Please email Amanda if you’re interested in giving comment: ayoung@aclunc.org.

The University of California is pushing forward a partnership with Dignity Health, which denies reproductive care and discriminates against transgender patients and women based on religious directives from Catholic bishops. This needs to stop NOW- and you have the power to stop the UC Regents by protesting their April 9th meeting: http://bit.ly/UCProtestApr9

This partnership started at UCSF—now UC is talking about expanding it across the state, impacting UCLA and other UC schools with medical centers. The Dignity Health partnership undermines UC’s stated values of equity and inclusion, as well as UC’s obligations as a governmental institution.

As UCLA activists committed to LGBTQ and repro health justice, you are critical supporters in this fight. We are still looking for students, alumni and faculty to speak out at public comment- are you interested?
