CFHC champions and promotes quality reproductive and sexual healthcare for all.  Our organization achieves its mission though an umbrella of services including advanced clinical research, provider
training, patient education and consumer awareness, public policy and clinical support initiatives.

 We are seeking:

Two Community Embedded Disease Intervention Specialists to work out of our Los Angeles office.

The Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) provides partner services, including counseling, elicitation, notification and other follow-up, for STD
patients in Los Angeles County.  The DIS also serves as the link between public health and private health care providers, and must cultivate, enhance and maintain a cooperative and effective relationship between the two.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of public health, STDs and HIV. The candidate must be willing to travel throughout Los Angeles County.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and within a variety of settings is preferred.

Two experienced Program Managers to work out of our Berkeley and Los Angeles offices.

The Program Manager will be a primary member of the STD Programs team and will participate in Title X and other health center site visits to assess and discuss clinical
practices and guidelines with medical staff in a variety of health care settings. The Program Manager will additionally lead and contribute to various STD prevention projects, evaluations and interventions. The position of Program Manager includes ongoing
travel throughout California and Los Angeles, often in small teams and/or in partnership with other non-profit, state and federal prorgams. Candidates must work in group settings and easily adapt to traveling with a variety of coworkers and colleagues. Applicants
should additionally have proven success working independently with little supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Public Health or other related advanced degree, and experience with project management, epidemiology, and community
health promotion. Excellent oral and written communication skills and knowledge of reproductive and sexual health care are required.
Health reform knowledge is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in health education and training, conducting CQI and/or direct work in clinical settings.
