Job Vacancy: Ibis Reproductive Health consultant position

Ibis Reproductive Health consultant position

Ibis is looking for a go-getter who can work with us as a full-time consultant for 6 months on a range of topics and tasks.  The consultant will be asked to complete research-related work including drafting protocols, qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews, cleaning data, and drafting concept memos, depending on the skills of the person. The consultant will also be tasked with some administrative work (meeting arrangements, correspondence, email management etc.) We expect that the research work will primarily address abortion in Latin America and the Caribbean, and may include US-based work. Ideally the person will be located in our Oakland office for 6 months, but we would consider the option of the consultant working from our  Cambridge, MA office or working remotely if s/he had the right skills and attitude. We don’t have specific requirements for degree/experience, but qualitative research and writing experience are preferred and a commitment to women’s reproductive rights is a must. Since the majority of data is collected in Spanish, fluency in Spanish is required. Interested individuals should send a resume and cover email describing their location and consulting fee expectations to Sharon Lebenkoff

The scope of work for this position includes conducting qualitative analysis of interviews in Spanish; summarizing themes from interviews and preparing dissemination materials; conducting content analysis of open-ended questions from surveys; general project support such as tracking data collection, cleaning and labeling databases in preparation for analysis, and preparation of PowerPoint slides. The scope of work may change during the consultancy.

Our hope is that this might grow into a longer-term position, but we cannot guarantee it will continue beyond six months.
