Postdoc Position at Emory University School of Medicine on hormonal birth control

The Emory University Division of Family Planning is searching for a postdoctoral fellow

JOB DESCRIPTION: A position is available immediately to participate in research efforts focused on hormonal contraceptive use and its impact on systemic immune and microbiome changes. The studies aim to define and compare the nature of immunological changes among participants using progestin-only contraceptives. The successful candidate will be able to clean, analyze, and interpret longitudinal data and prepare manuscripts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator. 

Preferred skills and experience:

·        Publications in referenced journals and presentations related to the human microbiome

·        Documented skills in quantitative analysis, biostatistics or bioinformatic, and working with large datasets

·        Documented research experience in immunology, microbiome, HIV risk and acquisition, or women’s health

·        Experience with grant development and writing
