UCLA Bixby Center Seminar with Sylvia Castillo

The UCLA Bixby Center to Advance Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity is excited to announce an upcoming seminar with Sylvia Castillo, Executive Director of the California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom.

This talk will focus on the California Future of Abortion (FAB) Council, which was launched in 2021 and has since transformed the abortion landscape within the state. We will explore its history and trajectory, its hard-fought policy wins and challenges, and the importance of interdisciplinary coalition building.

The first hour will consist of a presentation and the second hour will be dedicated to a Q&A session. We acknowledge that many individuals may have conflicting meetings or classes and welcome attendance to any portion of the seminar. This event is in-person only and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by May 13th to guarantee lunch.
