While at NCHADS in Phnom Penh this summer, I worked on a cross-sectional behavioral study on HIV/AIDS. This study investigated sexual risk behaviors among people living with HIV/AIDS and antiretroviral treatment. My main role was data management and analysis. I used STATA statistical software to clean the dataset and run consistency checks. Then I analyzed the data collected from the interviews and ultimately built a logistic regression model to tackle our primary research question. My last task was to author a report of the study findings that will be disseminated by the Ministry of Health in Cambodia. Additionally, I was able to accompany the research team to the field where they were conducting a drug-user behavior study at a rehabilitation center in Phnom Penh.
