Mentorship
Graduate Research Opportunity (GRO) Program
GRO Program Overview
The GRO Program provides graduate students across UCLA with opportunities to develop and apply research skills through meaningful, hands-on involvement in sexual and reproductive health research under the guidance of a Bixby Faculty Affiliate who serves as a GRO Faculty Mentor.
2026-2027
GRO Faculty Mentor interest forms are due October 6th, 2026.
The pilot program will support up to five individual mentor-mentee partnerships during Fall 2026 through Spring 2027. GRO Faculty Mentors and GRO Mentees may come from any school or department across UCLA, with a specific goal of fostering interdisciplinary partnerships. Each GRO Faculty Mentor will work with one GRO Mentee throughout the program.
Upon successful completion of the program, each GRO Mentee will receive a $5,000 stipend from the Bixby Center. Please note that this stipend is provided directly to the student and does not include tuition reimbursement. The stipend is intended to support the student’s participation in their GRO Faculty Mentor’s research project.
GRO Goals & Objectives
