Jennifer Wagman, MHS, PhD

Jennifer A. Wagman, PhD, MHS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Co-Director of the UC Global Health Institute’s Center for Gender and Health Justice. Her research focuses on the intersections of intimate partner violence, firearm access, sexual and reproductive health, and health inequities. Over the past two decades, Dr. Wagman has led mixed-methods, implementation science, and community-engaged research in both domestic and global settings. Her work integrates epidemiologic methods, qualitative inquiry, and policy-relevant research to address structural drivers of violence and health disparities. She has extensive experience designing and evaluating multi-site interventions and conducting ethically rigorous research on sensitive topics, with the goal of developing scalable, survivor-centered approaches to violence prevention and public health.
