Dr. Kavipurapu is the Residency Program Director of UCLA Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Assistant Clinical Professor. He earned dual doctorate degrees in medicine and law, from Western University of Health Sciences and ULV College of Law, respectively. He is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with clinical and research interests spanning general obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk pregnancy, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. In addition to his role as a physician, Dr. Kavi is a licensed attorney in the state of California with deep interests in social justice, reproductive rights, and the medical-legal aspects of healthcare reform. His commitment to quality improvement and advocacy is reflected in his patient-centered approach to care.
